Mary Mahoney's

Mary Mohoney's Old French House isn't  just a restaurant.....it is an experience!!!  I personally don't have the words to describe such a grand place.......but I did find this article that describes it very well....... http://experience.usatoday.com/food-and-wine/story/best-of-food-and-wine/food/2013/07/16/great-american-bites-great-seafood-biloxi-mary-mahoneys/2521125/......it was absolutely breathtaking!!

We chose to have lunch here......you can get a salad, entrée and dessert for $13.95.....and to be completely honest I would have paid double.....is was that good.

Russell got a dish called Snapper Bienville-it was a casserole dish with layers of red snapper, blue crab, and crawfish with a creamy cheese sauce that was browned to perfection!!!  He got a homemade honey mustard dressing for his salad and chose a rum sauced bread pudding for dessert!!! OUTSTANDING!!!

I ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes, they were topped with blue crab, crawfish tails and covered in a bernaise sauce. This is was favorite meal during our vacation. The combination of the green tomatoes and seafood were perfection and then topped with the BEST bernaise I've ever had.  I had a homemade red vine vinegrette (made with onions & olives) on my salad and chose the rainbow sherbet for dessert.

Ellie, went with the Prime Rib and fries......and I can truely say that this is the first time I've ever seen Prime Rib on a children's menu.  She absolutely LOVED it. She too got a salad with ranch and orange sherbet for dessert.

Like Russell always says........you can go to an expensive restaurant or a fine dining establishment but it doesn't have to break the bank.....if you know what to order and know when to go. We experienced this unbelievable meal for only $48 and that's including our tip.

Until next time!!! XO- Russell, Lisa & Ellie
